SHORT TERM BOOKING POLICY

This policy applies until a maximum of a 6 night stay. Rates are per room, based on double occupancy.

A $130.00 per room non-refundable deposit is required in order to confirm your reservation.

All rates shown on the website are in US dollars. Rates do not include 22% Ecuadorian tax.

Rates do not include tourism fee by the Local Authorities.

Package tours can be substituted for other tours upon request at time of booking (depending on tour additional fees may apply)

Certain tours/activities may not be available all year round, please ask the reservation department for more information about the tours.

Extra beds can be added to most of the accommodations.

Payment accepted with cash or credit card, we do not accept Travelers Checks.

Hacienda Jimenita Wildlife Reserve is a non-smoking Hacienda, but we do have designated areas that are permitted to smoke.

Check in Time by 3pm. Early check-in is available with an extra charge of $30 based on availability.

Check out Time by 12pm. Late check-out is available with an extra charge of $20 per hour if the room is available.

Day use is offer, however it depends on availability. Please ask our reservation department if it’s available. All rooms are non-smoking.

Quiet Time - To ensure that everyone can enjoy and relax, please lower your voices between 10PM and 9AM. Enjoy the peace and quiet.

 

Other Important Policies and Information 

A signed confirmation and credit card is required to secure your reservation. 

The full balance will be charged at the moment of the reservation for the long stay promotion.

All reservations booked must be paid before the arrival.

We accept cash or credit cards (American Express, Discover, Visa, Mastercard). 

Cancellation Policy:

If there is a "no-show" 100% of the total of the reservation will be charged.

If a reservation is cancelled 30 days or less prior to the arrival date 100% of the reservation will be charged.

If a reservation is cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival a 25% of the reservation fee will be charged.

 

Small capacity: We realize that our cancellation policy is strict; however, we have a small capacity and 65% of our revenue is use to preserve 700 hectares of primary forest in the Ecuadorian Amazon and the Wildlife in Hacienda Jimenita. Therefore, we have found it necessary to invoke this policy.

 

If for any reason Hacienda Jimenita Wildlife Reserve needs to cancel guest reservations prior to the payment in full date, we will not apply the 25% of the reservation fee.  If full payment has been made, Hacienda Jimenita Wildlife Reserve will refund the total amount. Hacienda Jimenita Wildlife Reserve has the right to cancel any reservation at any time as necessary. In the event of cancellation Hacienda Jimenita Wildlife Reserve will do their best to assist in finding or reserving a comparable local Hacienda if available.

***ANY VIOLATION TO THE HACIENDA JIMENITA WILDLIFE RESERVE HOUSE RULES MAY CAUSE THE CANCELATION OF THE RESERVATION WITH A PENALTY FEE OF THE 100% OF THE RESERVATION. ***

LONG STAY POLICY

Rates are per room, based on double occupancy, we just require a 7 nights Minimum Stay for the long stay promotion.

*** Call or send us an email for exceptions to our minimum stays as we likely have off-booking availability windows or last-minute openings. Also, based on bookings, we sometimes relax our minimum stay requirements a month in advance. *** Minimum stay requirements are subject to change without notice based on availability and demand.

Check in Time by 3pm. Early check-in is available with an extra charge of $30 based on availability.

Other Important Policies and Information 

Reservations- We must receive your deposit within 7 days of making a reservation (yes, we're old fashioned!). Confirmations will be e-mailed. Reservation deposits are non-refundable. Deposits are forfeited for cancelled reservations unless we are able to rebook all nights of the cancelled reservation. If we rebook all nights of the cancelled reservation, deposits are held on file as a credit to be used within 12 months from the departure date of the cancelled reservation, less a cancel fee of $50/room. Any unrented nights will be deducted from your deposit. A cleaning fee(s) will be deducted from credit amounts for each additional turnover(s) incurred from rebooking a cancelled unit. 

Advanced Reservations- We will accept reservations 12 months in advance. Current guests get first priority to rebook their unit for the following year. To reserve for the following year, please submit a reservation request no later than the Monday following your departure. If the current guest has not rebooked for the following year, we open the unit for public booking that Monday. A non-refundable, non - transferable rebooking deposit ($150/week for room) is charged for all reservations made during the previous calendar year for following-year reservations. This fee will be applied as a deposit upon arrival the following year but will be forfeited if the reservation is cancelled. Please note that, for following year reservations, we are only able to quote the current year rates. Following year rates are determined near year-end. 

Early Departure - Hacienda Jimenita Wildlife Reserve policy is that all lodging charges be paid upon your arrival and that no refund will be issued for any reason. We must ask that you honor your reservation.
