The hacienda grounds are just beautiful....we hiked all around each much to see! Especially the hummingbirds! We were given carrots to feed the llamas which was great! On our last day we actually changed our plans to return to the city and decided just to stay and enjoy relaxing in ‘paradise’. It is a perfect place to just ‘be’.

La Jimenita is so much more than a hotel. It is a museum of love, family, tradition, history, pristine natural beauty. Every inch of the property tells a story of love for Ecuador. People wonderful. Doggies your best friends. Surroundings wrap you in warmth as you stand in awe.

Our stay at the Hacienda could not have been more rewarding. We arrived in Quito for a few days in hopes of having a time to relax and acclimatize to this beautiful county. The Hacienda could not have been a better place to do just that.
Daniel, Emilio and Jimenita and their staff made us feel at home and like part of the family.

Truly a great experience. The rooms are spacious and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Please take time to explore the “Inca tunnel” and surrounding areas.

One of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment you arrive Daniel and his little French bulldogs welcome you like family. He is quite proud of the lovely grounds and enjoys showing us around and picking fruit off the trees for us to savor. We stayed in the Cotapaci suite and it was terrific. Awesome views of Quito and the mountains coupled with hummingbirds flying past the balcony made it worth every penny. The food and staff are wonderful and Daniel is also a great tour guide as well. If we get to go back to Ecuador, you’ll definitely find us here.

Hacienda Jimenita is beautiful both inside and outside. It is surrounded by a lush landscape, well defined walking trails, llamas , hummingbirds, including the long tailed hummingbird. Inside , the rooms and main house are well preserved, maintaining the craftsmanship of years of old.

Extremely hospitable, beautiful grounds with many hummingbirds. We only stayed for one night between a trip to the Galapagos and the Amazon, but wished we had an extra night. Extremely convenient for the airport, good food, and really cute dogs, Lamas and top views across the valley.
